We are looking for a receptionist/administrator.  The work will involve a wide range of administrative duties, including the word processing of letters, scanning and post duties. The successful candidate would also be responsible for meeting and greeting clients/visitors, and answering and transferring internal and external calls.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication and numeracy skills, have a friendly and outgoing personality and have had previous reception experience. It is essential that they have a competent knowledge of Microsoft Office and a smart professional appearance and approach.

Tax Senior/Manager

Grantham or Peterborough Office

We are looking to recruit a Full Time Tax Senior/Assistant Manager or Manager to manage a portfolio of personal and business tax clients ensuring compliance with HMRC and in-house deadlines.  The successful candidate should ideally have experience of preparing tax computations and returns for Manager/Partner review, reviewing tax work prepared by non-tax specialists and the provision of advice on tax liabilities, working within tax law and HMRC provisions.  We would be keen to hear from individuals with a reasonable level of tax experience.

The role will also be supporting the Tax Partner to assist in the provision of tax advisory services across the Peterborough and Grantham offices and wider practice. There is scope for upward progression and involvement in business development activities to help grow the two offices.

This position would suit a newly qualified accountant looking to specialise in Taxation or someone with wider experience.  Training will be provided to the suitable candidate if required and we are therefore looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn.

Marketing Assistant

Lincoln Office

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to plan and carry out marketing activities to support the growth of the business, retain and develop the firm’s client base and enhance our relationship with intermediaries and potential clients. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Management – key involvement in implementing the firm’s events which range from presentations and seminars to trade shows and exhibitions. Includes booking venues, invitation mail outs, managing the booking process, meeting and greeting on the day and collating feedback
  • Proof reading and editing a range of media including newsletters, mail shots, PR articles and all printed material
  • Web Content Management; working with the Marketing Manager in maintaining and updating the Street’s main and micro websites and development of the firms’ micro sites for additional arms of the business
  • Working with the Marketing Manager to implement the firm’s e-marketing plan via monthly e-newsletters and targeted email based marketing
  • Implementation of the firm’s twitter plan to raise the profile of the firm and communicate the services offered to professionals and prospective clients
  • Management of the firm’s extensive press cuttings collection, collating and displaying all articles within every office; this includes the reporting of media coverage on a monthly basis
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for Partners and staff in support of marketing activities and events
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Partner and Marketing Manager

Skills, qualifications and other requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good copy writing and excellent proof reading skills including the ability to re-work technical text for a broader audience
  • Proficient and conversant in the use of social media
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • An understanding of the principles of marketing and digital marketing
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, yet also able to use own initiative when required.
  • Has previous Marketing experience or is looking to develop a career in Marketing

Audit & Accounts Senior

Hull Office

We are looking to recruit an experienced and professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA) Audit and Accounts Senior for our Hull Office.

The successful candidate will be involved in Audit work and depending on previous audit experience will take on the management role for some clients within this function. Experience of the supervision and training of junior members of staff will be useful however of more importance to us is the ability to develop good working relationships with new and existing clients. They will also be expected to undertake accounts preparation as part of their role.

To be considered candidates should have the relevant technical experience (preferably at least 2 years post qualification practice experience) and competence. They should be ambitious and self motivated with the desire to develop their career and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to prioritise their time and meet deadlines. Academy experience would be an advantage.
