Made in Lincolnshire seeks to celebrate the area’s excellence in manufacturing and its well-earned reputation for innovation within the sector. It also aims to showcase the diversity and creativity of those manufacturing in Lincolnshire.
Our county’s manufacturers have the chance to showcase their excellence through entering the Made in Lincolnshire Awards with categories including Nationwide, Sold Overseas, World Class and Many Generations, along with an exciting new category for 2019!
The launch of this year’s awards will include an introduction to the awards and the entry process, as well as a presentation from Jane Smith, Managing Director at Jointine (Products) Lincoln Ltd - winner of last years ‘Made in Lincolnshire Sold Overseas’ category. Jointine manufacture and distribute a variety of high quality paper gasket materials in roll format, with most of its sales being made overseas. As a long established Lincolnshire business, Jane will share with us why they entered the awards and what winning has meant to them.
We will also hear from Michael Hague-Morgan, Co-owner of Autocraft, who will be talking about 4IR & I4.0 technologies. Mike is responsible for business development and all commercial aspects of the company. He is also a Regional Board Member of the EEF for the East Midlands and a Manufacturing Board Member of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP.
Entries will open on Friday 3rd May and close on Friday 21st June 2019.
Following the launch, delegates will have the chance to visit the Spark Engineering Festival, which is being held in Lincoln Cathedral from Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th May. Spark Festival celebrates Lincolnshire’s pioneering excellence, which spans centuries and is the reason we have world-class engineering businesses in the county today. It also showcases the latest innovations and breakthroughs and aims to inspire and ignite interest in engineering.
