Finance Director

A free presentation for Finance Directors, Chief Finance Officers and Senior Finance Managers.

This special event is hosted by financial recruitment specialists Interaction Accountancy & Finance and Streets Chartered Accountants. It seeks to provide delegates with a topical update on the financial, reporting and tax issues affecting businesses and organisations both now and in the year ahead. In particular, it will look to inform attendees on the potential impact of Brexit, be it a deal or no deal, as well as recent tax changes that may have been overlooked or not fully appreciated.

Our speaker line-up includes members of Streets International Tax team, along with colleagues from its specialist VAT and Corporate tax teams:

VAT & Customs

Gerry Myton, Partner & Head of Indirect Tax, Streets Myton Indirect Tax

An update on Brexit and the potential Customs regimes available to businesses to negate any barriers to trade post 29th March 2019, plus an overview of VAT rules pertaining to the reverse charge and other administrative issues.

International Tax

Brian Mulholland, Partner & Head of International Tax, Streets International Tax

Brian’s presentation will focus on recent trends in international tax affecting those operating or investing overseas, or trading internationally.

Capital Allowances and the New Structures and Buildings Allowance

Luke Prout, Corporate Tax Partner, Streets Chartered Accountants

Luke will give a general update on capital allowances on the purchase or construction of a commercial building, an overview of the New Structures and Buildings Allowance (SBA) introduced in the 2018 Budget and how businesses can maximise tax relief for capital expenditure on commercial buildings. Capital allowances locked into buildings are often overlooked and every business should review whether they are entitled to these valuable allowances.
