Introducing our Market Specialists

Paul Taylor is Deputy Director of the Department for International Trade (DIT) network in France. The team in France works to encourage and support French investment in the UK and also to help British exporters win business in France. Immediately prior to arriving in Paris in the summer of 2016, Paul helped to create and led DIT’s Central Europe Network, comprising, at that time, 9 Overseas Posts and 68 trade & investment staff.

Paul’s previous responsibilities in the UK have included Head. South America in the Foreign & Commonwealth Office; and Head. Middle East & North Africa in DIT. In addition to Paris and Prague, he has been posted overseas to Santiago, Mexico City and Madrid.

Carlo Cavagna leads the UK’s Department for International Trade’s Los Angeles-based team of 22 business development specialists, with the twin goals of attracting investment to the UK and empowering UK exporters in the United States.

Prior to assuming the role of Head of Trade & Investment in 2014, Carlo ran DIT’s U.S. business strategy for the creative & media industries. Before that, he managed business development for Lionsgate’s groundbreaking VOD company, CinemaNow. Carlo began his career as an investigator, and later a policy analyst, for the U.S. International Trade Administration in Washington, DC.

Andy Hosie started his career with 7 years in sales and marketing for Procter and Gamble and moved on to become Commercial Director of Everton Football Club. Since leaving Everton in 2005, Andy has been involved in a number of start-ups in sport and technology.

Andy recently joined OCO Global to work with their Middle East practice and its ‘British Centres for Business’, helping British business expand into the UAE and the Gulf. He is currently also working with the Dubai Government on a new credit rating system for SMEs.
