Carol Curtis

Partner, CTA

It is with great sadness that one of our fellow partners Carol Curtis passed away on Wednesday 2nd May 2018. Carol joined Streets in 1976 and became a Tax Partner in 1990. She was a Chartered Tax Adviser who had earned an enviable reputation for dealing with tax matters, often complicated ones, for clients engaged in agriculture and rural affairs.

Her exceptional expertise, attention to detail and knowledge of tax legislation was widely acknowledged and acclaimed by fellow professionals, including lawyers, land agents and agricultural valuers and advisers. Carol was also very skilled and adept in dealing with disputes with HM Revenue and Customs. Understandably her clients both valued and were comforted by having her look after their affairs.

In addition to her professional role, Carol was an avid supporter of the arts and was a Trustee of the Sam Scorer Gallery, Lincoln. She was also Churchwarden for her local church, which had a particular special place in her heart at North Greetwell. Carol was a member and local supporter of the RSPB and a long standing member and attendee of Lincolnshire Show, which was one of the highlights of her year.

Carol will be very much missed by all who knew her and our condolences go out to her husband George, her son Jonathan and her daughter Lynne and all of her family.
