Private Client Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager

We are looking to support our ambitious growth plans by recruiting a Private Client Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager to manage a portfolio of private client matters with a keen focus on advisory work and report writing.

The advisory work will involve Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning, Trusts, International tax matters and other high-level private client tax issues.

As a Private Client Tax Manager/Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing tax advisory services in support of the Tax Partner, maximising fee income and supervising work in progress and billing for the department. The key aspects of the role include drafting detailed reports and providing comprehensive advice to clients.

The role is solely focused on private client matters and the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in this field.

Essential requirements:

  • Holds a relevant professional qualification such as CTA (or equivalent) with good experience of private client tax advisory services.
  • Demonstrates broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience, specifically in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
  • Proficient in report writing and providing detailed, high-quality advice to clients.
  • Good client handling technique including excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Able to build good relationships with members of the team.
  • Experience of mentoring and developing people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Takes ownership of projects, effectively delegates to others within the team and takes responsibility for quality control.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Organised and methodical with strong numerical abilities.
  • Able to work as part of a wider team.
