Corporate Tax Director/Partner

As the Head of Corporate Tax, you will play a critical role in shaping and driving our corporate tax strategy. You will be responsible for providing high-quality tax advisory services, managing client relationships, and leading a team of tax professionals. This position requires a deep understanding of UK corporate tax law, extensive experience in tax advisory and compliance, and the ability to deliver strategic tax solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and grow the corporate tax advisory and compliance practice, providing strategic direction and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services.
  • Develop and implement innovative tax strategies and solutions to optimise tax positions for our clients.
  • Advise clients on a wide range of tax issues, including corporate tax planning, compliance, M&A, international tax, and transfer pricing.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities for business development and growth.
  • Opportunity to build on a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with UK tax laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes in tax legislation and advising clients on the implications.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to deliver comprehensive and integrated services to clients.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in corporate tax, with a significant portion spent in a senior leadership role.
  • Extensive experience working within a professional services firm or a large corporate tax department.
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation, with experience in advising on complex tax issues.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and delivering high-quality tax advisory services.
  • Strong business development skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a commitment to developing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-specialists.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and commercial mindset.
