The last 12 to 18 months have seen many businesses experience employee shortages and challenges in recruiting staff and seeking the skills they need. This situation seems to be one that is likely to be on going and whilst steps can be taken to try and deal with the situation in the short term, they are just that and are probably not totally satisfactory.
In this session, HR advisor, Anita Wynne of Beststart Human Resources, will consider the challenges faced for employers and their HR team, along with taking a look at the how the situation can be improved in the short term. Anita will also take a look at what perhaps needs to be done to address the situation in the longer term with a greater focus on workforce planning and management, costs and new approaches to recruitment, retention and skills.
