We have pleasure in inviting you to our Special Edition Exec Club Lunch, to be held at the Lincolnshire Business Expo on Wednesday 16th January 2019 at Lincolnshire Showground.
The two course lunch will be co-hosted by Streets Chartered Accountants and Langleys Solicitors, who have together established a new style of business club known as The Exec Club.
As part of Lincolnshire Business Expo 2019 the two firms are delighted to be hosting a special edition of the Exec Club. The guest speakers for the lunch will be:
Tej Parikh, Senior Economist, IoD
Tej holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University College London, and a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University. Prior to joining the IoD, he worked as an economic analyst at the Bank of England in roles across monetary and financial policy.
Subsequently, he moved to Cambodia where he was a journalist focusing on economic and private sector development for a national newspaper. He has since been a freelance political risk consultant and journalist, covering Europe and Asia in particular.
He has published for numerous international media outlets including Foreign Affairs, the Guardian, and The Diplomat, and is currently an active member of London’s Great Debaters Club.
Sally Balcombe, CEO, Visit Britain/Visit England
Sally Balcombe heads up VisitBritain and VisitEngland, which plays a unique role in building England’s tourism product, raising Britain’s profile worldwide, increasing the volume and value of tourism exports and developing England and Britain’s visitor economy.
In 2017/18, its international and domestic marketing activity generated £1 billion of additional visitor spend across the nations and regions of Britain and the VisitBritain Shop generated £27.8 million in revenue, with over £2 million profit invested in marketing Britain overseas.
Sally will be at the Lincolnshire Business Expo 2019 to give a briefing on what VisitBritain and VisitEngland have in store for 2019 in the wake of Brexit and in particular how this may affect businesses.
This private club is aimed at Chief Executives and Managing and Senior Directors of Lincolnshire's most successful businesses and organisations – success being determined in terms of market leadership, innovation, turnover, profitability and management style. The club is not intended to be a networking event but rather to provide a forum for the 'meeting of minds' whereby key decision makers of the local economy are able to discuss business ideas openly with one another in convivial surroundings.
Attendance is by private invitation only and as such we would like to extend an invitation to you to join us as our guest. All non-paying guests are by invitation of the hosts. Please note the number of guests attending will be in the region of 50 to 60.
If you have attended previously then there will be a charge of £38 (including VAT) to include a two course meal with wine. We will either send an invoice or alternatively you can send a cheque made payable to ‘Streets Management Services’.
Please note any cancellations made after Friday 11th January 2019 will be charged in full. If this is your first event, then we extend the invitation to you to join us as our guest.
