Executive Resourcing

At Streets we recognise that managing and developing any organisation comes with its challenges, whether you are looking to become No1 in your market, grow your business, realise your aspirations or manage a specific challenge or project.

Typically many organisations will try to muddle through using already over stretched or inexperienced internal resources. It is, however, often the case that overall success can be enhanced, both in terms of speed of implementation and returns, by looking outside for expertise and knowledge.

It is with this background in mind that we are pleased to be able to offer clients and prospective clients access to Streets Executive Resourcing, our dedicated and specialist provider of interim managers, executive search and non executive directors.

Streets Interim Managers

What is an interim manager?

An interim manager is someone who has a high level of experience of their specialist discipline be it in Finance, Marketing, HR, International Business, Manufacturing, Sales, Logistics, Operations, Project and Change Management. They tend by their character and high level experience to be highly motivated, strategic and task focused and therefore well placed to deal with specific organisational projects and challenges.

Typically an interim manager is recruited to deal with a specific project within an agreed time frame and as such does not usually become a long stay member of the engaging organisation’s team. Often we find they are only retained for a period of say 3 to 6 months – however it maybe as short as a few days, or a year or so for complex assignments.

What sort of results might you expect from a Streets interim manager?

A vital part of the Streets brief taking process is to establish the 2 or 3 key measures of success for the assignment. By investing the time in a face to face meeting with our clients, we have the best possibility to find an ideal match in terms of experience and desired skill set.

The interim manager is under the client’s management and control for the duration of the assignment and by conducting regular review meetings with the interim manager, you can be sure they are on track to deliver the outcome you desire.

How do I go about getting the right interim manager?

In the first instance, please call Streets Executive Resourcing on 01522 551200 or email info@streetsweb.co.uk. Alternatively you can contact your regular Streets Partner who will introduce the Streets Executive Resourcing team to discuss your needs in detail. The Streets Executive Resourcing team will be introduced within 48 hours in most cases at a face to face meeting when the requirement is discussed in detail – this is entirely without charge or obligation.

Once the parameters and key measures of success for an assignment are agreed, the Executive Resourcing team will maintain contact with you throughout the process, also keeping your Streets Partner fully informed. Just 5 to 8 days later you will be meeting 3 potential hand picked candidates, who have been already assessed in a one-on-one meeting by the Streets Resourcing team.

The interim managers will have relevant experience, track record and references for you to evaluate.

The interim manager you choose will start on the assignment the following day or next week.

Thereafter the Streets Executive Resourcing team will maintain contact with you to ensure client satisfaction and as part of our continuous improvement process.

Non Executive Directors

The role of the Non-Executive Director is becoming increasingly important as corporate governance guidelines in the UK are being strengthened. It has been said that ‘post Enron’, no company board can afford to operate as it did before. We can provide experienced executives from within your sector, or if you prefer from an alternative environment entirely to provide the benefit of a fresh perspective on your business, reassuring your shareholders and the authorities.

A Non-Executive Director can also bring new ideas to businesses that may seek new vigour or that could benefit from tried and tested experience to help realise, even exceed corporate objectives. For many the ability to access new leads and contacts can provide significant commercial value.

A non Executive Director is not likely to have day to day engagement with your business. They provide support as and when required, or to deal with a specific issue and to attend Board meetings or work with the senior management team as required.

Every organisation, no matter how small or big, can benefit from an independent pair of eyes and ears on the Board.

To discuss the role a non executive director might play in your businesses then please call call Streets Executive Resourcing on 01522 551200 or email info@streetsweb.co.uk.
