Equip your business for Data Protection legislation changes that come into effect next month

Lincoln College is inviting you to join an insightful workshop to learn how you can prepare your business for the upcoming regulations. Don’t miss out on your last chance to prepare with guidance from experts at Microsoft and risual. In May 2018 European privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is due to take effect, enforcing new rules on EU companies, government agencies and non-profits that collect and analyse data related to EU residents.

This means GDPR will apply to every organisation in the UK, even after the UK leaves the European Union. Any organisation that is not prepared could face fines of up to £20 million or 4% of annual global turnover, whichever is higher.

With high profile data and security leaks, including WannaCry fresh in the public’s mind, a need for a strong and proactive approach to GDPR and security should be a priority for every organisation.

Join a discussion on how to begin planning for GDPR, what business changes organisations typically need to make, how to assess your readiness based on your current infrastructure and what solutions are a priority for you.

Agenda:

  • Overview & Context of GDPR at Microsoft - People
  • Technical & Implementation - Process
  • Story Telling around GDPR - Technology
  • Break for refreshments
  • Roundtable – Conversations and Q&As

Headline speakers:

Stefanie Jacobs, Technology Solutions Professional, Microsoft
