Accounts Semi Senior

Stevenage Office

The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of clients dealing with their annual accounts and management accounting requirements providing a high standard of professionalism along with quality of service. It is also to manage and organise work effectively to ensure that targets are met and standards maintained in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of account clients and be their main point of contact. This will be a mixture of companies, LLPs, Partnerships, and sole traders, in a variety of industries
  • Develop and maintain effective client relationships, including attending client premises as required
  • Prepare financial statements and year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards
  • Organise your flow of work, allocating assignments and managing your time as necessary taking into consideration your client deadlines and other constraints
  • Ensure that work is delivered within budget and time requirements
  • Prepare schedules for Tax returns
  • Complete VAT returns, Company Accounts and CT600s
  • Liaise with third parties as required (HMRC, mortgage brokers, other members of your team, payroll bureau, etc)
  • Take part in client meetings as and when required
  • Contribute positively in team meetings

Skills, Qualifications and other Requirements:

  • Good I.T. skills
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative.
  • AAT/ACCA qualified or equivalent by experience
  • General Practice experience
  • Ability to travel to client premises from time to time and between offices
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven analytical skills

Audit & Accounts Senior

Hull Office

We are looking to recruit an experienced and professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA) Audit and Accounts Senior for our Hull Office.

The successful candidate will be involved in Audit work and depending on previous audit experience will take on the management role for some clients within this function. Experience of the supervision and training of junior members of staff will be useful however of more importance to us is the ability to develop good working relationships with new and existing clients. They will also be expected to undertake accounts preparation as part of their role.

To be considered candidates should have the relevant technical experience (preferably at least 2 years post qualification practice experience) and competence. They should be ambitious and self motivated with the desire to develop their career and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to prioritise their time and meet deadlines. Academy experience would be an advantage.

IT Assistant

We are looking to recruit an IT Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the IT department in both Hardware and Software Maintenance.  In addition there is a requirement to undertake some general administrative duties.

Bookkeeper

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join our bookkeeping department in Lincoln. We aim to provide streamline and efficient bookkeeping for our clients and therefore use online software with a variety of applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inputting and reviewing data
  • Maintain sales, purchase and general ledgers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Working to deadlines
  • Report to managers of any outstanding queries
  • Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information
  • Develop and maintain good client relations
  • Ensure a high standard of work level

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous proven bookkeeping experience
